When Pope Benedicto XVI arrive at Madrid on the occasion of the world youth day (WYD) which will be held from 16 to 21 August, will be, controversy aside for costs generated by this trip, an artistic offer in the capital of Spain in line with the tastes of the Supreme Pontiff. The WYD organisation calculates that they will receive the Pope two million of young people from all corners of the planet (170 countries), that will begin to occupy the town and cut two days before the Benedicto XVI landing day 18. To entertain the waiting, public and private institutions have scheduled forty cultural activities. These include the Word made image exposures. Christ paintings in the Museo del Prado and encounters in the Thyssen Museum. It will also represent an auto sacramental of Calderon de la Barca and there will be film and dance.
